PCL Group, a global provider of information technology services, has announced the appointment of telecoms specialist Ian MacIntosh as Telecoms Services Lead, heading up the company’s newly established telecoms division.

This strategic expansion complements PCL Group’s existing service portfolio and marks a significant step in its long-term growth strategy. In his new role, Ian will be responsible for building and leading the division, delivering integrated digital transformation and unified communications solutions to clients ranging from SMEs to large, multi-site enterprises.

The new division will work in partnership with the UK’s leading telecom providers to offer fully managed services across business broadband, internet, voice and telephony, cloud platforms, and advanced communications technologies. The initiative will also create new employment opportunities through the formation of a dedicated in-house telecoms support team.

Ian brings over 15 years of telecoms experience to the role, including eight years as founder and managing director of Banchory-based CFN Solutions, which was acquired in 2024. During that time, he collaborated closely with PCL Group, delivering telecoms support that complemented its IT services.
