From humble beginnings as a one-woman business, working from the dining room table in the family home, PCL Group has transitioned to a multi-faceted IT company servicing six principal business sectors operating on a global scale.

In 2019, having successfully managed the company to grow and develop year on year, Jeanette handed over the operational side of the business to her children, who have both worked with and supported her over many years. This provided in-built succession planning, so she could focus on business development. This not only protected the staff and their career prospects but also showed commitment to securing the future of the business for many years to come.

As the company continues to grow, its roots are firmly embedded in the sectors it currently services adding value to its core business strands and proactively seeking new opportunities in the ever-evolving technology arena.

With increasing demands due to the new “Hybrid” way of working, the company prides itself on its capability and commitment to deliver a fast, reliable, professional response on a 24/7 basis, providing clients situated locally, nationally and globally with the reassurance that assistance as and when required, is only a call away.

PCL Group is a company which appreciates that its greatest asset is its people and in 2015 became the first IT company in Aberdeen to gain an Investors in People Bronze Standard. Two years later, it became Aberdeen’s only IT company to gain Investors in People Gold Standard accreditation and joined a list of only ten other companies across all sectors in Aberdeen to have achieved Gold Status at that time.

PCL Group has since achieved the Investors in Young People, Good Practice Award in 2018.

After initially starting out working from home and then into office space in Portlethen (a small village on the outskirts of Aberdeen), the company moved to larger office space in Aberdeen city in 2007 located on Regent Quay. In 2021, PCL Group moved to the city’s prestigious Golden Square. The move reflects the ongoing company expansion and its close links with other associated businesses which are headquartered in the same location.

The range of services offered has grown alongside the technology that PCL Group specialises in providing and the company remains at the leading edge of state-of-the-art service provision.
