PCL Group Director highlighted as role model for Enterprising Women UK

CEO of Aberdeen based IT systems and services company PCL Group, Jeanette Forbes has been featured as a role model for Enterprising Women UK, an appropriate compliment to the businesswoman whose business celebrates 10 years in business this year.
Established in March 2000 by Jeanette Forbes, PCL Group was set up from Jeanette’s dining room at home, subsequently moving to Badentoy Business Park, Portlethen for seven years, and most recently moving to new quayside premises with purpose built training facilities in Regent Quay, Aberdeen in 2007.
Over the last decade, PCL Group have emerged as a key player in its field with prospects in the next year including more growth in the marine and offshore sectors including the expansion of the company in Singapore.
The success of PCL Group to date has been down to the commitment and hard work of their experienced team and it had not been without its fair share of challenges as Jeanette Forbes recently commented on when speaking at sell out Aberdeen Entrepreneurs event earlier this year.
However, it is not only in financial value and new contracts where PCL Group has excelled. Jeanette Forbes has achieved a significant amount of industry awards and recognition on behalf of the team and as a leading woman in the field of Science, Engineering & Technology throughout the United Kingdom.
Says Ms Forbes; “The last ten years has been a significant journey for PCL Group and has far exceeded our initial expectations. All of which has been achievable by drive, determination and hard work which is something that I as an individual cannot achieve alone. I am extremely fortunate to have a team which are extremely loyal and committed, who have worked tirelessly on projects both here in the North East and further afield. Without whom, none of these achievements would have been possible. Plans for the future for PCL include significant growth on an international level, which is a result of our good working relationships with current clients and a reputation for getting the job done and excellent customer service.”
This is the second such award for Jeanette Forbes who in 2007 was selected as a role model businesswoman for the JIVE Conference held in Birmingham.
